Our scenario represents a factory that produces items sold on the medical market by molding plastic components and then assembling them.

At the end of each production line (molding machine) there is a scale, this works like a piece counter. The system prompts the operator to enter the average unit weight when opening each job, which is done by reading a barcode printed on the job. The data is stored in the scale once entered. The system prints the label with all the pre-defined data when the pre-defined number of pieces is reached in the ERP. Each box is placed in a pre-determined location. It can only be moved from this location by QC personnel after all pre-determined checks have been carried out. Having been moved, the packers can transfer the parts from the plastic tray to the carton and continue packing.
